Anthropic's economic research introduces "observed exposure," a measure of AI displacement risk combining theoretical LLM capability with real-world usage data. Early findings: actual AI usage remains a fraction of what is technically feasible, highly exposed occupations are projected to grow less through 2034, and — so far — there is no systematic rise in unemployment among the most exposed workers.
